I am going on a camping trip here soon with the 80 from Lincoln NE to Apple River WI. I would like to take a bunch of wood with me as if you buy it up there it is $6 for 3 small pieces of wood that lasts about 45 mins MAX

Usually have a car load when we go up 4 passangers and the back up load to the ceiling. My Q? trying to figure out the best way to haul a bunch of wood up there... the only thing I can think of is packing 2 Rubbermaid containers full and strapping them down on the roof???? Any ideas?
