I've found that I really like the placement of these gauges because they're easy to check without taking my eyes off the road but for a brief second, and I use these much more than the stock ones.
The top of the mount was cut from the raised section which has the speedo and other stock gauges, and the portion into which the Autometers are actually mounted was cut from the large vertical blank section which lies above the glove box. I pop riveted the pieces together. A short piece of aluminum angle is along the lower right and holes were drilled through this for mounting to the dash. For mounting to the dash I had the dash cap out and I drilled through it and JB welded nuts to the underside.
My stock dash was cracked and I filled holes with some paintable silicone and sprayed it and the auxiliary console with a gray paint. There's a gap between the dash and gauge mount and a pile of wires and copper lines routed through the speaker hole and all this looks a bit

but it works.
