Its hard to beat an OE reman trans.. They`re remanufactured to the highest quality standards and have a 1 year warranty.. IMO, they are actually "better than new" in many cases, as they will typically have the newer "upgraded" or "improved" parts already installed in them too .


An OE reman trans should run ya around $2300 + installation ( w/core exchange )

I went with a Toyota reman'd tranny when mine died due to a thrust washer failure. Slee did the install, and they said many of the parts looked new, especially the torque converter. I think it was a better piece of mind over the junk yard trannies that were about $1k less. I briefly thought about a 5spd conversion, but I like the torque converter in the rocks.
