My 62 originally lived in S. Cal and has some significant cracks in the dash. It came to me with a carpeted dash cover, but I've found it to inhibit windshield defrosting, even after I trimmed it down, so it's been discarded.
Is their an option to buying another dash, or dash cover? Not sure I want to fork out a couple hundred bucks for this issue. I have no idea how fast this problem will progress, and if it does whether or not a dash cover wouldn't work in the future if pieces eventually start falling out. The climate here is the opposite of S. Cal-almost never sunny.
