If I had the choice between a 4-speed or a 5-speed that has an overdrive I wouldn't think twice about it. Definitely go with the overdrive. Since you're doing the work, do it now because more than likely you'll wish you went with an overdrive and will end up ripping out the 4-speed and put one in later so you're really saving money doing it the first time.
