I believe that theortically the performance is affected; but I am sure that it is not significant.
Furthermore, I hear no pinging or knocking while the engine is operating or pulling. There is also no dieseling after the engine is shut down.
I am satisfied that until I see this type of evidence, there is no need to run the more expensive fuel........gm

I see a loss of mileage if I use "regular" due to the midwest area here having 10% ethanol and the stations I frequent the premium having 100% gasoline.
