It seems like every few years this comes up, and everyone points to Jim's article as the end all be all.

"Toyota designed it that way, so it must be right"

If that is the case, please explain 1979 - 1985 Toyota Hi lux suspension.

Why would the Toyota Engineers ABANDON front shackles of the Land Cruiser when they designed the Hi-Lux?

I've had SR and PS for 9 years now. It still works, still doesn't wander, still has a better approach angle than a front shackle configuration. I'm using 2 1/2" OME springs. I have never bottomed the drive shaft into the xfer case. I've driven my 40 at 80+ MPH with no problems. I've rockcrawled all over the sierras.

If you don't want to do a Shackle Reversal, fine. But please don't try to convince me that SR is worse than shackle forward.
