Are you talking about the cheapest K&N filters? I haven't seen $1 filters and certainly wouldn't run one if I did. How much do the filters you run cost. When I ran high end synthetics, they were between $10 and $15 a pop. I change my oil every 3,000 mi (I know this isn't necessary, but the more you change the better), so it only takes about 30,000 to 50,000 to pay for the TruFilter to pay for itself, and double that mileage for the PurePower to do the same.

Thanks for the link to the lab. I'm gonna do exactly what you suggest to see if I can get some real data.

Cheapest = 10-15$ that's how I did the sum up and = 750k miles....I did the math there, just didn't post it piece by piece.
