my parents have a cabin just over the border. a while back they installed some weird looking tubes on either side of the us crossing. when my dad was having radiation therapy they gave him one of those radiation implants and when he went to cross the border on the weekend it triggered something and they staged a full lockdown alert. his doctors forgot to warn him but it is SOP now. the border guards were pissed.
