IIRC they are 1/2 ton. But don't let that fool you, a trucks weight rating is largely based on its own weight. IIRC its GVW - GCVW I believe,

what ever's left over will be the 1/4ton (500lbs) 1/2ton (1,000lbs) 3/4 (1,500lbs) you see....I think

I'd pay a visit to pull-a-part and yank some sprigs

According to how you double'em up you can rate it what ever you want.
