...you would be wise to pull your headliner in order to better assess any further hidden roof rot. I have 3 55 roofs(one not attached to a body) in various states. You would be surprised how a seemingly fine roof exterior is not so flawless once the headliner comes down. As far as repair is concerned - would appear the best route to go is to cut out the rust and weld new metal in. You might be able to find a good section of drip rail and corner roof material from a fellow pig owner with a parts rig.. Once that rust sets into the drip rail seam, it is not a pretty undertaking to fix....not to mention the host of other problems that surface due to the infiltration of water into your pillars etc....On the bright side - in that your pig has come from Arizona, you should be in a much better state than most. Post this up in the 55 section if you have not already.
