This would be normal. The chain should have slop when the engine is not running. Oil pressure tightens up the chain.

Mongolia has been on my list of places to visit some day. For some reason it just sounds like a great place to explore. That rig really needs to be put on a boat when you are done and brought to the US. Very unique truck, and left hand drive to boot.
