I know Rekcut uses it, and based off what he told (educated may be a better verb) me, and a little research on my own it was a very very simple decision to change to RP. Since you can find RP in every stealership parts shop, and everyone one of your service advisers promote it...then I think its safe to assume you will not void warranty. Just mind the manual on how often you should change. Also my understanding is that the 08 come with this fluid already in it...the 07's did not. I noticed better performance all around, and I changed out front and rear diffs, transfer case, and Man Trans. gonna use it on the next oil changed as well. Gear oil, like gas, or any other fluid is the life blood of your truck. Spend the few extra dollars, your truck will last longer and thank you for it (i have actually heard my truck "thank" me

was at the dealership the other day and ol' boy brough his 97LC for an oil change. Showed me the odometer....freakin 471k miles on it. he uses RP...I would have to say he got his money worth all around, 30 times over!! i love seeing stuff like that, and he takes it offroad.
also those worried about the price, and we all know the dealership charges more than anywhere else. just give them your TLCA member number which should be good for 30% off the price. This makes it cheaper than if you went to autozone or pepboys or whatever local shop you have in town to get the stuff. also don't know if its a coinicidence, but the dealershop has the pointed top bottle...all the other places have the reg bottle. pointed=easer to get into small places and flip the bottle. like i said, just what i saw. im sure toyota is not the only place that has that style bottle.
