had a HG let go with a small hairline crack between the exhaust valves. ordered a kit from 4wheelauto and had the head gasket replaced professionally. the mechanic remarked on the replacement HG, saying it was much more stronger/heavy duty than the the stock HG...
that was several year ago and no problems so far with the HG.
