question.....may sound dumb we watched a guy at the shop sand and repaint sand and repaint.....got to the point he was throwing the tools across the shop. He described the very same thing you did and it showed. Turns out some folks have more oil in their hands than others. So the solution was 2 things one he started wearing gloves(powder) 2 we made him started using this
Wipes & Tack Cloths

New guy we thought he was but he had no clue about it.

My suggestion would be go back and sand it all down and after you primer check for spots that you may need to spot puddy then sand it all down with 400. THEN take a green scrubby(like the ones you use for washing dishes) and buy DAWN....it must be Dawn then wash the rig down with that.

Then if you wish use a tack rag
