If your not in the "in-crowd" in the Gen 4x4 forum, its difficult to get answers. I hate that place.

The holley TBI's are ok but stock GM is better. You can get the 50mm bored TBI form Xtremeefi on EBAY for around $200, but I like the 454 TBI better anyway. The only reason I did not do the 454 tbi is I got the bored TBI locally for next to nothing with a mountain of tbi parts, also I would have to have changed the throttle linkage (for the 700r4 TV cable) and re-wire the TPS for the 454 flat style connector (more compact since the 454's came with a thick adapter to spread bore). the 454 TBI is very solid and less prone to baseplate leaks like the bored SBC tbi's, they can also be bored out to 54mm to flow 850cfm. You should be able to find one without the large injectors for $60-100 on ebay.
