don't do as you suggest. The fact that a vendor might "make it right" if you ask does nothing for the fact that the pump they're selling is prone to leaks. I, for one, am glad to know this, and even though you're being self righteous, I trust that if you ever are in search of a replacement pump you'll feel richer for having read this.
