I pretty much buy whatever I want whenever I want. So does Mrs. yooper. If it's a big purchase she will ask me if it's a good time to spend that much or I'll let her know I'm about to spend a bunch (I am the CFO of our household). But neither of us every gives the other any shit about our respective toys and we don't ask permission. She spends a godawful amount of money on stuff that I think is a waste of money but that makes her happy and vice versa.
She is not happy about the motorcycle but it's purely a safety issue. She knows I am serious about being safe but also experiences daily the high percentage of idiot drivers on the road daily.
