I think most of the fridges in this category work on both 12v or 24v. Ohms law says that with 24v the fridge should draw half the current to perform the same work. That is where the performance is better. The question now is which way draws less current: (1) 12V directly to the fridge or (2) 12V to 115vac inverter to Waeco P/S which outputs 24VDC for the fridge?
If money were no object I would score the NL 50L weekender; however, I found a WAECO CDF-40 w/ Danfoss compressor for $199 on clearance at Camping World.
I'll get by with that for now.
