FWIW, I've been getting similar issues, comes and goes. Mac OS 10.4.11, Safari, Motorola cable modem at home (hardline in), airport at the university. Usually doesn't stick around for more the 5 or 10 minutes, not overly bothersome. Maybe it's a geologist thing.
