Since our 97 is frequently parallel parked, I got this one;

It sends the picture via wireless from camera to mirror and detects back up lights to turn on. I routed the camera wiring (power and reverse detect) along side the license plate light wiring so no holes were necessary. The monitor clips onto the mirror and is the right width to fit between the visors but it was too high so I lowered the mirror 1 1/2 inch with a block of wood and longer screws. I do get some video noise occasionally but I write that off to being wireless. If I get time, I may look into wiring it direct.
