That thing would be cool to open just to see what strategies they devised to protect the data from shock, water, impact and heat, ya know?
On the car camera thing - I seriously think these are going to be common one day. Can you imagine someone driving like an idiot and then noticing the camera in someone's rear window recording their every move? It would not be far fetched for you to be able to hit a 'help' button in your car and send the imagery via your cell phone to the 911 system. Bingo, highway patrol has the car, the plate, the driver and the behavior - case closed.
