The front axle can be cut and turned to set pinion angle and correct caster negating the need for a double cardan. Most guys do NOT do this however and opt for turning the diff up and pointing it at the t-case to increase clearance (for the diff).
Theres a cheap way to change the shock mounts when you reverse the springs. All it takes is a 5/8" drill and a couple of bolts.
