It appears that the level has remained the same.

Yesterday I noticed there was a little puddle (about 3-4" wide) beneath the xfer again, so I took a pic:

That looks pretty wet to me. I can see a drip there. Usually it is classed as a leak if it drips (as opposed to wet but not dripping which is classed as a weep and not really bad enough to worry about). If it is dripping like that and the fluid level is full (ie it runs out of the filler bung when the bung is removed) then it must be sourcing the oil from somewhere else. The only place it can get oil is from the auto. The ATF will discolour the oil to that dark brown colour. Normally gear oil will stay a yellow colour or at worst will get a slight green tinge.

It looks to be leaking from the rear output seal area there too. It probably blew the seal out if the breather was blocked (common) and the T/case is being pressurised by the excess oil being pumped in.

The Hi/Lo and 4wd/2wd switches on the side also look like they might be leaking too. Wash down everything and then drive it for a bit till it starts leaking again and note exactly where the oil is coming from.
