I didn't get a real job (i.e. career) until I was 38 because I took two years off after college and spent 5 years doing a PhD and chose a career that takes a shitload of education. I've only been working for about 6 years. I haven't had time to get in a rut. I fucking love my life - I make a lot of money doing a fun job and my family is healthy and happy.
I haven't had the time or money to spend on the hobbies I like until now.
If I have a midlife crisis it won't hit me until my late fifties. But I don't see that happening; I'll probably just get happier. |
