El Camino Del Diablo is the longest continuous and unbroken (by pavement) dirt road in the lower 48. It is about 150 miles.

Others are longer, but are broken by crossing pavement or even requiring you to drive on pavement for short periods.

It is possible to find a longer route by combining multiple roads, or doing a loop, etc., but no single dirt road is longer than ECDD.

It is also extremely remote, which adds greatly to the appeal. At one point you are over 50 miles from the nearest town. Cool stuff.
