Check out Robb's, if you can get one of the newer cabins they are very nice. Plus Robb's is a 100% supporter of off roading and of the Rubicon Trail.
Robb's Valley Resort, near the Rubicon Trail, where recreation can be found, on Ice House Road in El Dorado County. Rent recreational equipment, ski boats, wave runners, pontoon boats, cabins.

Plus it is the closest thing to the trail.
