To me, the odds with a trad. bow, from the ground with no blind, would seem to be almost impossible. As in almost never. Unless you're Tred Barta, slinging arrows Robin hood style.


It's all about concealing the draaaaw......I've done it once, but it was just luck. IMO

How could you do it with out cover ? [ consistently] At what point in a Turkey hunt would you draw ? When his head goes behind a tree ? What if there's more than one bird ? You wouldn't have a chance in hell ! Sitting still with a shotgun in the open, waiting to squeeze off a shot, is a much easier game. I think it would be much harder to shoot one with a trad bow from a blind, than to shoot one in the open with a shotgun. Try it.

If you build a natural ground blind, as apposed to a fabric blind, what's the difference really ?
