Welp, I did mine with just the tech guides you speak of. But I downloaded any thing and every thing related to an 80. Then I created my own little web gadget with shortcuts and book marks but that's not important. You should certainly get the DVD and read all the HG related threads here first. If you are doing this alone and for the first time, watch the DVD couple/few times. Doug makes it sound really calm and seamless. I am sure by the time you finish reading all the HG threads and watch the DVD few times, you'd be a confident camper to take on the task.
