Any advice on dealing with a bad roof vent stack boot...looks like (from the ground) there is aluminum flashing over a rubber/neoprene boot (ie the boot protrudes through the flashing) and the boot appears to be disintegrating (south side exposure) ... I plan to get up on the roof in the morning....clinging to the eves trough with white knuckles
hoping one or two trips will be all I will have to make. Shingles were done less than 10 years ago - complete roof ripped off and re shingled. It is cold here and I imagine the shingles are pretty brittle..
