I used a 5.5" or 6" (I can't remember which, but it just fits over the stock mounting brackets) piece of C channel and welded a piece of 1/4" plate to it to mount the winch. Best pic I could find right now (post 226) http://forum.ih8mud.com/trails-events-expeditions/156854-2007-fj45-run-8.html
