A savvy ebayer can usually pick up a used FOB in good-perfect condition for $30 or less. The "Lexus" branded/styled remotes are harder to find than the Toyota style ones so they usually carry a premium.
But, as Cody shows you have a few choices that will work.
As for programming...I know the instructions are in the LX manual but IIRC I don't recall them being in the 80s manual
. Regardless, I think the first thread I linked to has a picture of the instructions so as long at that doesn't disappear anyone that needs a "How to" should be good to go.
