in 1988 one of those things painted with leopard spots shadowed me at 4 o'clock for about 10 km after i stopped at a designated rest stop as i was driving the old bamburg/berlin corridor highway through east germany and took some photos of a wartburg parked there. made me feel like i was in a le carre novel.
