I noticed the front bumper fits closer then ARB suggests. Have you had any problems with the front bumper flexing when using the winch and hitting the fender? I prefer the fit from everyone else's I have seen. Also, how are the nittos in the snow and on wet roads?

This is great! Looks good.
Slee, are you offering this? Is this the same unit that goes on the diesel model, or is there a gas specific snorkel?

After looking at the snorkel a little closer, it looks as if the door would hit it...is the snorkel in the way at all? Is there lots of clearance?

That looks a whole lot better than the one for the 100-series.

Damn that looks nice!
Is this a new kit for the 5.7 or did you modify the 4.5 model? If so, what did the mods entail?

Just to complement the info a little bit. A few pictures of the install where the holes in the front fender and A pillar can be seen:
And a view from a different angle:

I went to the link (and have seen it many times before) and under snorkels, 5.7L, all it says is TBA?
Underneath that it shows safari snorkels website, so I thought I would go there. Went there, then to Toyota applications, then 200...it only shows for 4.7 gas and the diesel engines.
So still, the question is, is this snorkel specific to the 5.7, or do the others work as well? Or, is this some pre-release that only a few people get?

Chimyz -- I agree with you. This is annoying. When I discussed this with ARB USA (who distributes safari snorkels in the US) they couldn't confirm anything either...

I figured it would either make things more confusing or help.... i was hoping for the latter.
Im assuming it is a pre release of some sort, because i think the 3UR-FE would need substantially more air flow than a 1VD-FTV/2UZ-FE......although i could be wrong and safari says their snorkels always exceed the needs of the engines they are designed for so it might not be a pre-release........this isn't helping

Here's the install guide, it shows the air box with intakes etc... might help a little? I would guess it fits, or is very close...

It is the diesel one that we just made work. The airbox inlet and the snorkel outlet (round) does not quite match, but the airbox inlet is soft enough to deform and fit the snorkel outlet. Nothing complicated.

Hi, what can I say?
Mine is a UZJ200 General Market spec. Land Cruiser. Unfortunately we didn't get the 5.7 liter engine down here.
Therefore, I can´t tell if the snorkel I've installed is adequate for the USA spec 200 series larger engine in relation to airflow capacity. Fitting it physically shouldn't be that difficult if there are any airbox differences.
Nevertheless, I can say that I didn't hesitate to install it as soon as it became available as we have seen many, and I mean many, 1GR-FE (FJ Cruiser, Tacoma) engines seizing under heavy dust conditions. Therefore, when I saw dust on the wrong side of the air filter I decided the snorkel install was unavoidable.
Sorry!
