Vince,
The rear bumper looks good, was it a pain in the ass? How are the dual batteries & compressor coming. By the way did I mention the truck looks good.

JB,
You will have to talk to Vince and Cam. They build it and I pay them money, then we repeat the process again and again. They have more time in my truck then I do.
They are doing an ARB fridge and addition lights for the roof rack both front and rear. About the lights, yes I admit it my name is Steve and I am a light whore.

Yes, I have talked to him about this setup. I didn't get the feeling it was perfected yet. I'm not a big fan of mounting the batteries sideways. I'd like to see the power steering reservoir moved and install a battery on the PS. Right now I use that spot for my 4 HID ballasts, which could easily be relocated.

i can tell you that on this build, we will be mounting the aux battery sideways.
it will not be placed on the passenger side.
the arb compressor is mounted next to the p/s resevoir.

One of the advantages of running Optima batteries is that since there is no fluid in them they can be run upside down with no problems. However I do understand your reservations and probably would have the same if I was doing this. The turbo diesel models have dual batts, with the second batt located behind the USPS headlamp. If you can find details of how Toyota sets up the ancillaries your problem would be solved.

Simple question. I assume the upper part of the rear hatch won't open with the tire there huh?

Nope, not a chance. On the flip side, not that bad having to open swing-outs, thought it would be much worse.
