You haven't mangled them yet??? Man, mine were toast by the time I took them off. Rocker cover took some damage too because of those things! For me, I was afraid I would damage the rocker panels or doors when I slipped off a rock or something if I didn't have the sliders. Seems kinda a necessary upgrade, especially if you are doing the bumpers already.
The last thing you want is a $1000 slider cost to hit $4K+ if you damage a door that won't open anymore.

Here are some pics showing carriers. The bumper came with a license plate bracket for the tire carrier but I decided to have it moved to the jerry can holder. This way I would not have to remove the license plate to gain access to the tire. Needless to say, the installation has been a challenge - 3 different installation manuals!

Don, do you have PDFs of these manuals? According to ARB there is only one...what are the 3 versions?? Thanks

I don't have pdf but there are 3 - bumper, jerry can, tire carrier. Install will run into tomorrow and maybe Monday as they try to determine if they can save sensors.

Yes, any "words of wisdom" would be great!
I'm doing my install myself next weekend. Gotta love working in 108 deg. heat!

First, thanks for the complements. It has been receiving a good number of double-takes. As for words of wisdom, I can only offer observations since someone else is doing the hard stuff. Read, read, and re-read all instructions and familiarize yourself with parts. Prepare yourself for a long install. Mine's been in the shop for nearly a week, mainly due to their meticulousness and the fact this is their first ARB tire carrier install. I'm sure shops with more ARB experience will install in 2 days or less. Expect some . They chipped one tail light installing the jerry can holder but had one on oder by the time I dropped on by for pics. Lastly, enjoy the process. Its been fun watching the process take shape.
Frankly, I'm amazed at all the pieces this thing requires. JB, I admire your ability to take on such a project.
One suggestion I would make to ARB is to produce a complete side panel. Makes no sense to me to have to trash an entire OEM bumper just to creat a side panel.
Will post updated pics tomorrow.

Thanks, I've done all the previous work myself (with the help of my sexy assistant ).
I'm installing the regular bumper...I don't have much use for the jerries or tire carrier and really like the clean look of the standard version.
I don't get what is different about the rear install in regards to having to sacrifice your OEM bumper. On the front, you have to do the same just to get that 2" strip under the grill. Frankly, I think this is a great approach as this provides the most seamless "factory" look.

Another hick-up today. We've spent two days of trying to get running and turn lights to work. A call to ARB informed us of a solution. First, an explanation. The rear bar comes with running (amber) and brake (red) lights and a wire harness to acommodate. A later call revealed it "may" not be needed, depending upon model. After noticing brake lights also act as turn signal and the running lights also act as brakes we called ARB. This is when we found out wiring harness is for European models. Solution now is the replace amber lense with red. Confussing, for me yes.
The installers are trying to separate the signal so we can keep amber light. I like the look and am willing to accept funky turn signal and keep amber running light. Also, bumper has been cut and installed. Looking much cleaner now. Will post pic when trim is installed.

I don't think this will be possible as there is a computer that controls the relays for the lights. The tail lamp is the same bulb for both turn signal (flashing high), rear lights (constant low) or brake (constant high). I beleive it is controled by the voltage to the LEDs.
The only way for the ambers to work correctly is to T-tap them from the engine bay where the fog lights from the ARB bumper connect. Here, there is a dedicated turn signal +12 for each side. They could run a wire all the way from the engine bay, down the frame rail, and back up into the bumper on each side.
As far as I see it, this may be the only way. It's not as difficult as may sound.

I'm thinking along those lines but wont bother the shop with it, I can run the wire. Truck should be ready by noon tomorrow so I decided to take pics when finished.

the IPOR installed ARB rear bumper is in progress.
talking to ARB about the wiring, they said to tap into the wires running into the "towing module" in the left rear panel. the connector that is supplied does not work, so it has to be spliced in.
the bumper is being installed without the swingouts, because we ordered the LHS tire, and RHS jerry(we do it for all ARB rear bumper installs for visibility reasons) and they are backordered.
the sensors have not been decided on, but we will figure something out.
compared to the 80 and 100 series rear bumpers, although similar, the 200 bumper is quite different in its installation(more difficult).
i will try to post some pics when possible, but again it won't have the swing outs installed, just the blanks.

With the LHS tire, you will definitely block the camera, though. Correct? Any plans to relocate it?

If you get them working, please let me know. They've tried here but could not get the signal to separate. And, if you find a way to adequately brace OEM bumper on passenger side, post solution. On mine it is very flimsy, like billow in the wind flimsy. I'll try to post pic of it in the morning.

thoughts on the camera are up in the air.
one concern is that even with the jerry can on the LHS the camera wouldn't really show much.
donjuan, will you take a pic of what your rear camera shows you with the bumper installed? i am curious as to how obstructed it is with the jerry can on the LHS.
will take the "flimsy" prob into consideration.
where did they try to mount the sensors? any info would be great

Will take pic of screen.
Sensors most likely will be scrapped, not much room underneath and aftermarket housing too exposed underneath. Thought about installing them on side but now leaning towards leaving them off alltergether. Shame...
JB, your earlier comment about over engineered may be spot on.

I do all of my own work and take great pride in accomplishing such a task.
When I do the work myself, I question what installers would do. For example, how many installers lift the entire body off the chassis when installing the Slee sliders? There is a top bolt that can only be inserted when this is done. I think many (not saying ALL here...) would just skip this bolt. Also, how about moving the drain plug on the 9.5XP winch when installing it feet-forward? Many would skip this step.
I just prefer to know that all my work is done to perfection -- and the only people I trust are me and my sexy assistant!

If the rear sensors are not installed, and the sensor button is turned on (assuming you have the front ones installed) you will get an error on the info screen telling you that there is an error is the sensor system. I know this for a fact by the way, so this is something you must over come.
This is the #1 reason I did not opt for this bumper model, as I didn't want to deal with the warning that will constantly be on. I don't know of a way to bypass it.
Yes, I heard through the grapevine that the way the lights and swing outs were built were way overly complex for the 200 series.
I say KISS if you can.
Best of luck with the sensors!
If you do not install them, you might be able to measure the resistance across the sensors and duplicate this using resisters soldered inline on the 4 rear sensor connections. This way, the computer would think the sensors are connected even when they are not. I do not know if turning the switch off will prevent the warning message.
Keep us posted and most of all....PICS PICS PICS!!!

Picked up truck today, looks alot better after final adjustments and reenforced side panel. Gap between side panel and bumper looks tighter, very happy with it. Will post detailed evaluation in a couple of days but I must say I'm glad I installed the OME 440 springs in rear.
Here are some pics of sides and backup camera. At work and don't have way to erase license plate so I'll post rear photo tonight. All comments are welcomed.

Looks good. I thought the camera would be blocked more, but without the cans in there, you can still see pretty well.
Any word on the sensors? What happens when you put the truck in reverse? Do you have the switch on or off?
Any comment on the departure angle? From the pics it looks to be worse than stock. The rear picture will help to give reference to the hitch.

don,
Once again, the rear bumper looks great. Standing by for the rear pictures. Now that your bumper is installed do you see any real issue with left side tire and right side can?

Here are a couple more shots. I need to take a measurement from ground to bumper but I do think departure angle is equal or a tad worse than stock.

Vince, the bar looks great! One question, I noticed you installed the thin trim on the cut bumper rather than the wide one we used. Did we install the wrong one?

the only wide one i received was for the aluminum cover. it is the same as all of their other rear bumpers.
i would have liked to have a wider piece for the sides, thats for sure.
the other one looked like a serpentine belt, and it went behind the fog/reflector pieces, so that only left the ones that i used on the sides.
they were also almost cut to exact length right out of the box.
if you still have your instructions, look at them in detail.
