There's a fair amount of light pinstriipping, but nothing that a camera will really capture well. Only one stripe running from the front to the back am I concerned about. The rest will buff out with some elbow grease...just gotta find the time to do it.
Anyone know of a good wax or something that can at least help prevent pin stripping? Someone mentioned covering your car in baby oil when you go mudding as it wont stick, but that's not going to help with the brush.

get those magnetic sheets cut specifically for your rig. You put them on before wheeling and take off before traveling home. I'll try and find the vendor

has them as well, and are custom for your particular vehicle.
They are just mighty $$$ and take too much time to install....but I guess you get what you pay for.
Out here though where it's dusty as hell, I can foresee the dust/dirt getting behind the magnet between the paint and causing the magnets to scratch the paint in a big circle wherever they are -- much worse than just dealing with the desert pin stripping.

Yeah I got an email from Magnashields this morning. No go on the LC.
Just like JB, If I lived in more of an area then desert, I would look into these, but al I really need to worry about is rock and sand damage.

Well, my problem is that I never know the condition of a trail. I could be doing just fine and then get into some thick brush. By the time I go through all of it, the paint isn't looking so good.
I'm going to just bring some good hedge trimmers and a large-mouth bolt cutters with me for those big branches from now on!

I'll play. This was last summer, but I'll add to it once the trails open up.
My sweet pinstripping that didn't come off after 3 polishings:
My old running board that was quickly replaced:
And that rocker damage is still there. Haven't been able to take the time to smash it back out.
One other thing...to all those 200 haters out there (and you know who you are) we do wheel our trucks. That is what Toyota built them for, and that is why I bought one. If I wanted a mall cruiser that looked like a wheelin pig, I would have bought a Sequoia (or rather, never sold my old one). So as a parting thought !

I think you guys have already done well in helping change the perception that 200 owners don't wheel...
Bravo & keep it up!

Last night we went offroading on a pretty rough trail. As I was going through a stream, I could not see the bottom and evidentally hit about a 2' drop off. The edge of the rock was sharp and cut right into my rear bumper. Honestly, I'm not that worried about it because I can just bond it back in place, fix the parking sensor surround, and forget about painting it pretty. I don't want to spend any money on it since it will be getting replaced this summer hopefully.

Look at you! Smashing up the bumper so you have an excuse to replace it with the ARB...that's something I would do. That way my wife wouldn't be able to question it.

One of the things I learned first at the Dirty Toy School was this:
If you don't know the area you are going into, get out and look first
Nice scratch.....but next time just run into your garage like me and be a man!

Nice...don't worry about it though, that part of the bumper comes off with the installation of an ARB.
