I have spoken to a few shops and they have reported that while off road the plastic bends and gives more then the metal. So in an actual off road situation that the plastic may be more durable.
Any comments???

These skid plates are aluminum, not metal. They are flexible and lightweight. The complete set weights about 84lbs. 6mm thick and has servicing holes so you do not need to remove the plates when servicing the car. On top of that, there is no drilling. The plates bolt onto original holes. The Land Cruiser might be better, but the FJ stock skid does not las off road at all. If you look on fjcruiserforum, there are a lot of complaints about it getting damaged after going off road the first time.

Kewl! Sounds great.

I looked at your site and noticed the bumper water tank. Looks great...any hopes for a 200 series version?

We are currently working on re-designing the water tank. I am currently not selling them in the U.S. for any of the model cars. It is a very expensive and complicated installation due to the piping. This is something that can only be installed by a dealer. In the future, we will certainly have them for the 200 if there is enough demand.

Wait.... When did aluminum stop being a metal?
I know aluminum flexes good when under stress, but it does not flex back without a little help...

Interested to see them. Looking forward to seeing some 200s look and act tough.

It is flexible and not true about needing a little help to flex back. It depends on the impact. Most of the time it will flex back by itself and sometimes you need to give them a hand (very rarely).

I am so used to everyone always comparing them to the steel, I just realized what I wrote about the metal... I posted a dumb moment, it happens
