Electric Brake Controller On 200 Series Sahara

Hi Peoples, only new to this but just wondering if anyone has had troubles fitting a electric brake controller to a 200 series sahara?
I keep getting different views from local fitters and suplliers saying that the new cruiser needs a special wiring harness or that you need to take the brake signal supply wire from the plug at the rear and not from the brake pedal switch.
Any suggestions would be much appreciated!!

Do you have a service manual with electric wiring diagrams?
If not you can download them from Toyota Service Information for a few dollars and see if it has wiring already in place to plug the unit in directly to the harness. (Which I expect would be possible) PM me your number and I can give you a call.....land line number.

Also read this post, it appears that the US versions at least have the plug in point, I expect the aussie one should as well, but you may have to check the drawings. The drawings for the RHD vehicles in the UK seem OK and mention Aussie variations. (100 series drawings at least)
