They're a little new, don't you think?

The 100 came out in 1998 and it wasn't until 2001 when Drexx and myself had 100's that could really wheel.

I think the day is coming when we'll see a competant wheeler in the 200-series MUCH SOONER due to demands in the martketplace and the popularity of 4-wheeling.

Careful where you use the word "hardcore". Only 80-wheelers who don't own 100's say 100 and 200 cannot be "hardcore" wheelers.

I know,I was just letting you know that I love all Land Cruisers and think that they are all simply brilliant vehicles

p.s.I saw the building of your cruiser and I must say that it is one of the coolest 100 series that ive ever seen

Thanks much. There are some builds out there that dwarf mine. These vehicles are awesome.

Hardcore, difficult, extreme what does it matter? They are all subjective terms. My stroll down a two track road might be extreme to someone else. I'm not sure any wagon can be described as "hardcore" in my book. I know there are no full bodied wagons that I would consider "extreme".

But I love seeing action in the new rigs, especially Cruisers. Right now a friend of mine is building an 08 Taco and I can't wait to see him tear it up on the trail. He's been pretty ballsy with his build. Not many folks lop 8" off the bed of a truck with less than 2,000 miles.

While I definitely don't get off the beaten path nearly as often as I did in my younger days, I still like to have the option to do it if the mood strikes me. Doing it in a comfortable, capable, dependable vehicle is just icing on the cake !

Icing on the Cake!...I prefer to think getting off the beaten path in a comfortable, capable, dependable vehicle, that is also safe for my family, all the while drinking a coffee (and not spilling it), is icing on the cake! LOL.

Not me, I don't like the 200.... The body is even larger than the 100 (the 100s size is the max I'd ever want to go), and it doesn't have a stick shifter for the low/high range transfer. Besides it looks like a larger version of the Highlander.
