Good idea to list cross-parts, and not only among Toyota models. Some are identical parts from other models or even makes. Others are similar and adaptable. My CDL switch is a flasher switch from a Tercel, slightly modified and re-labeled. Many vacuum valves are the same in several models or makes. Mitsu's, Nissans and others use the same parts made by Hitachi, Nippondenso and others for controls or air conditioning.
At one time I had a Toyo truck, a Montero and an Accord all with interchangeable A/C compressors and even hoses. My Celica has a high-side A/C hose that came out of a Mitsu Montero 5 years ago. It works and fits perfectly.
Most electric vacuum valves are generic across manufacturer lines with the only difference being the style of plug used to connect them to power. Most electrical relays are the same no matter what Asian car they are in. I walk thru salvage yards and snatch them by the fistfull. I use them for paperweights. The only difference in them is the amperage rating, which is usually clearly labeled. I have used Honda Hitachi ignition ignitors to test Nissans, Toyotas and Subarus. My Montero used the same Hitachi ignitor, and I always carried a Honda one in the glove box as a spare. (Me, a Honda Tech.)
Many parts are bought from one supplier for most cars built on the Pacific Rim. I once used a Camry pressure switch to repair the air conditioner in a Geo Metro. I have used window switches from a Honda to fix the power windows in an older Celica. If I remember right the headlight switch for a Mazda Miata is incredibly expensive, but the same part from a Ford Escort is $29 and fits perfectly.
Often, manufacturers are in bed with each other and their kids look the same under the skin. If you know who plays with who it can save you a lot of money.
