I was thinking the exact same thing until I noticed something in them that made me glad he did. For some reason I had it in my head that the trimming that needed to take place was in the part of the bulb housing that plugs into the harness. After reviewing his 30 some-odd pictures it became EXTREMELY clear, I was wrong
