I was crawling around under my FJ80 recently in relation to a different thread, and noticed that the lower rear control arms are noticeably larger in their O.D. than the ones on my FZJ80. I know a few of you hard-core wheeling types have tweaked or seriously bent these arms on rock ledges and other obstacles, but I was wondering if anyone had ever bent the larger FJ80 arms.
Please post up if you have done it or seen it done.
I was just thinking that it might be cheaper to buy salvaged FJ80 arms instead of purchasing new aftermarket beefy arms, provided that they are in fact appreciably stronger.
