Re:Diesel 3B Question
The 13BT's, 12HT, 1HZ, etc all have routed crank case blowby into the air intake, to be burned. The valve covers are plumbed so the tube enters the air intake post air filter. In the turbo models, it is plumbed pre-turbo/post air filter.
I have not done this mod to any of my 3B's, however I've known of a few that have: Cut the blowby tube to a 1" nipple, and route it into the air intake tube, post filter.
You could also shorten the pipe a little, and attach a double cup, one can inside the other, reversed orientation, then attached to the tube. (Poor explaination, sorry, and no pictures to help). This would catch all the oil, and also have the benefit of creating an air pocket around the end of the blowby tube if you stall in deep water.
