so you are saying that no particles were circulating through the oilling system? if this is the case then an oil analasis wouldn't have let you know the bearings were on their way out...would it?
shouldn't it be that in the later stages delamination "chunks" of aluminum should let go?

for this i am reaching for answers since i have not had this happen to me...
