The Following is what I posted on the NMTTORA forum earlier.....
'I found an interesting part in section F;
(2) PERMITTED EVENTS- The Secretary
may issue permits for special recreation events involving motorized vehicles within the boundaries of the Monument, including the `Chile Challenge'--
(A) to the extent the events do not harm paleontological resources; and
(B) subject to any terms and conditions that the Secretary determines to be necessary.
Yea right......Clever way to shut up the critics without making any guarantees.'
Both of our U.S. Senators are the sponsors of this and the Head and Ranking memebers of the Energy and Natural Resources Committee to which this bill goes to for approval to the Senate Floor......
I am not liking this one bit. There are a lot of places that are not even close to the 'tracks' (and I use that lightly) that will be forever closed if this goes through.
