Anyway, went fishing yesterday morning at a friend's on the Delaware. They had a HUGE flood last month, so the bottom/banks had been rearranged a bit since I was last there. I started with a small floating/diving frog lure and got an immediate hit, but it spit the lure. Fished around a bit, found a deep channel, and then hooked up with a 14" smallmouth. It jumped a few times, then decided to go deep, downriver, taking out some line. It was one strong mofo, for its size. I swear, river bass are a different species, or maybe they just know how to use the currents to make themselves seem stronger. Anyway, I brought it back to camp to cook up, it was still wriggling like mad when I showed it to the kids.

Didn't have the camera, didn't think to take a pic until after it was partially eaten. I'll post a pic once I'm home tonight.
