More progress...
New rag joint installed and power steering box re-mounted. Steering rod & wheel secured (PO had installed the bracket holding the rod backwards. sheesh).
Got the rear axles and the rear diff cover on. Just need to put some diff oil in (what weight do people recommend for a daily driver?)
Bull came over with his portable welder and gave me a quick lesson on how to weld. *I* then welded a nut onto my battery tray bracket that I had ground off due to a broken bolt. Fun stuff. I gotta get some schooling on welding.
Pulled the birf joints apart so I can re-pack the bearings. Like an idiot I didn't realize there were snap clips holding them together. It took Bull's intellect to point this out. We ended up breaking the inner C clips..new ones on order.
