RTH '05 4Runner tail light R&R

Friend has an '05 4Runner with a burnt tail light P/S .. we can see the little access cover on side panel and the little groove on the rear edge of the access panel that suggests a screwdriver can be used to pop the cover off ... but the cover is not budging with normal pressure and the plastic is getting stressed/bent - we don't want to break it ... is there a "trick" here?
thnx

Its done!

For the life of me, I can't remember what the access point looks like, but for whatever it's worth I think there's an easier way to access that point. Hopefully someone with a full back will chime in. I cut my back off over a year ago and can't remember what it looked like.

From what I remember, you should be able to pop it out pretty easily and replace the bulb with a 1/4 inch turn to the left. Jesus, I wish I had some more pics of that area, but we'll go with that.

In essence, Bump.

Found a pic of the panel.

Hopefully it'll help someone else out. Sorry I couldn't help you out.
