I'm not a fan of big rims on LandCruisers, but them Tundra rims just look hot on it. Springs may not be an issue, probably need a different hitch with 0" drop and that would help level it out.

That's the hitch I use for towing quads and other stuff and it fits perfect. The truck had some squat to it for sure on this trip. The trailer itself said it weighed 2000lbs, plus the FJ weighing in at probably 3700-3800 lbs.

Thanks for the wheel comment, I really like the factory look it gives. It was done out of wanting to put some rugged tires on the stockers, but be able to have the wifey drive around in comfort. She pretty much put the kabosh on me wheeling her 100 too much, hence the purchase of the FJ40.

Rowdy_Rod - Nice inclinometer!

Those are pretty rare over here Stateside - I've only seen dash-mounted units pulled out of 4Runners (I think) and kinda slapped onto a hundy dash.

Any chance we could get a pic of how/where it mounts? I'd seriously consider pulling out my HomeLink buttons in order to have one of those.

I took these pics today up at Big Hill Lookout between Ice House Reservoir, and Union Valley Reservoir.

It was a warm sunny day up at 6,155 feet!

Well, this happened last saturday on a muddy trail, when I tried to avoid the thorny bush on the PS. I didn't notice that the high grass on the DS was hiding a small creek, about half a meter below, and half a meter deep. So I ended hanging on the belly with both left wheels in the air. At every pulling attempt, my 100 slipped further sideways on the soaked clay, and there was an instant when I really feared I was going to end upside down in the water. Finally we managed it with an HDJ80 securing from the front, and a 90 winching from the rear, anchored to another 120 (else the 90 woud slide towards the much heavier 100).
The only damage was a ripped rear mudguard.

Dakar 2007

Here is a picture of my 100 in the last real Dakar rally, in 2007. Unfortunately the Dakar rally 2008 turned out to be a no go. Well, maybe next year.

[quote=Dandon;1860064]1loudlx, I envy you. 18ºC here yesterday, so no way to see snow except in the mountains.

Last saturday, after getting stuck in the sand (see above), I pulled out this KZJ95 that "parked" in the middle of the puddle (soft sandy bottom):

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAA, te has pasado de pijo macho, moja el culo joder! hahahahahahahaaa

Rod Seagel here in AZ built his '99 into a Roklimo clone. Rod's cool. He doesn't care about pinstripes. Rod's the first known 100-series to climb The Step on the Charouleau Gap Trail. It's a 4.0 rated obstacle that's imfamous for eating parts and bodies (and front diffs). On this day....the 80's had nothing over Rod's 100. Since this trip, "LandCruiserPhil" has also run the Gap in his 100 though he was smart to not attempt the Step as he doesn't have sliders yet.

The first pic is me in my LX. It shows the wild steepness at the bottom. The next is Rod climbing the onstacle with nar a slip! The last pic is another 80. That pic shows how TALL of a step The Step is! Wet tires don't help either!
